Recently , a team of researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology has made a light bulb that can recycle its own heat to generate power for its lighting. It is extremely superb as it reduces the cost of power used anf and can work on its own.
It will be as effective as an LED light. Its principle of working is quite easy as its filament is covered with a special filter made up of a crystalline substance. This material traps infrared radiations of the spectrum produced by filament. Thus, heat is trapped and bulb will glow at a very low current thus saving both energy and cost. It is really a miracle of nanotechnology.
